"Medusa"

This is a one of a kind (OOAK) art doll.  This is #001 of the "SURREAL"" series of dolls that will be presented.

     This particular doll is named Mesusa.  In mythology she is the snake woman.  She is able to turn anything into stone that looks into her eyes.

     Medusa is made from a gourd.  She has hand painted green eyes and some of her copper hair has been tipped with glass beads.  Mesusa is a very sturdy doll.  She has been constructed to last a very long time.  The inside of her body has been filled with epoxy resin which holds her hair in place but also gives her some weight.

Medusa is approximately 7.5 inches tall from her base to the tip of her copper hair.

     Medusa's face has a quality that will hold one's attention to her in an unsettling way.  In time her hair will also turn to a more subdued stone color which is very appropriate for the nature of this mystical beast.  If you would like Medusa to keep the copper sheen instead of letting it turn color from oxidation than I will be happy to seal each strand of her hair.

"Sunmother"

This is a one of a kind (OOAK) Art Doll.  This is #002 of the " SURREAL" series of dolls that will be presented.

     This particular doll is named Sunmother  In mythology this creature was responsible for giving light to humans so that they can hunt the animals.

Sunmother is made from a gourd.  She can stand on her own.  She has a pyroengraved sun on her midsection.  The hair that adorns her head is made out of combed raffia.  Her face, hands, and feet have all been made with polymer clay then painted with gold to represent the light that she casts.

Sunmother has many sets of beads to adorn her godly body.  She has a special anklet made from leather that has been designed specifically for her.  The other deities would surely be jealous.

She also has a removable headdress.  Her arms have been made from copper and they are repositionalble to suit your taste.

Sunmother is approximately 5 inches tall.

"Sumo"

This is a one of a kind (OOAK) Art Doll.  This is #003 of the "Surreal" series of dolls that will be presented.

  This particular doll is named "Sumo".

     Sumo is made from a gourd.  He has copper legs and can sit on any flat surface.  Sumo is a very sturdy doll.  He has been constructed to last a very long time.  The inside of his body has been filled with epoxy resin which makes him very sturdy.

Sumo has a polymer clay face and if you look closely at the picture below you will see that he indeed has teeth.  His face was left unpainted to draw more attention to it.  He has purple hair and has his own glass beaded hair tie.  The hair tie and wire beneath it are removable if you prefer him to wear his hair down.

Sumo is approximately 3 inches tall but his size has no bearing on what his power entails.  He is a protector deity who holds great respect for the ones who house him and will honor and keep their home free from evil spirits.
